Rewards Program

Participation in the Rewards Program (“Program”) is restricted to U.S. residents who are 18 or more years old (“Cardmember”, “you”, and “your”) in whose name Elan Financial Services (“Issuer”, “we”, “us” and “our”) maintains a Credit Card Account (an “Account”). Subject to the Program rules, you may redeem rebates earned in the Program for cash rewards in the form of a statement credit to your Account, a deposit into another account or for a rewards card. Program administrative services are provided by third party vendors.

Program Participation

To participate in the Program, your Account must be open and in good standing under the terms of your Cardmember Agreement. We may alter, change, or terminate the Program at any time without advance notice. We may also disqualify Cardmembers who have violated any of these terms and conditions or the terms of their Cardmember Agreement with us. Determination and payment of tax liability is the sole responsibility of the Cardmember. The Program is void where prohibited by federal, state, or local law.

Earning Cash Rewards

Cardmember must initially enroll into categories of their choice, or all Net Purchases will earn no more than 1% cash back. Categories are subject to change. You will earn 5% cash back (1% base & 4% bonus) on your first $2,000 in combined Net Purchases each calendar quarter in your two chosen 5% categories and unlimited cash back in your 2% (1% base & 1% bonus) category. Purchases in the following everyday categories: Grocery Store/Supermarket and Gas Station/EV Charging Stations at Wholesale clubs, discount stores/supercenters such as Target and Walmart will only earn 1%. All other Net Purchases earn 1% cash back. 

You may only earn Rebates for Net Purchases on your Account. Net Purchases are Purchases minus credits and returns. Not all transactions are considered to be Purchases and eligible to earn cash back, such as transactions posting as Convenience Checks; Balance Transfers; Advances (including ATM withdrawals, wire transfers, traveler's checks, money orders, foreign cash transactions, betting transactions, and lottery tickets); interest charges and fees; credit insurance premiums; and transactions to (i) fund certain prepaid card products, (ii) buy currency from the U.S. Mint, or (iii) buy cash convertible items. Each merchant’s business is identified by a category code. We do not determine the category codes applied to merchants’ businesses and reserve the right to determine which purchases qualify for additional rewards. Account must be open and in good standing (not past due or overlimit) on the closing date of the billing cycle to earn and redeem rewards and benefits.

We will show on your monthly Account statement the accrued Net Purchases potentially eligible for redemption as Rebates as of the statement billing date. Your 1% Rebates earned will appear on your statement as "Cash Rewards", and the additional rewards you earn for 2% Rebates and 5% Rebates (1% and 4%, respectively, in excess of the 1% Rebate) will appear on your statement as a "Bonus". Rebates earned can also be viewed within the Rewards Center via online account access. We reserve the right to adjust or reverse the number of Rebates that were awarded, or Net Purchases potentially eligible for redemption, for unauthorized Purchases.

Rebates may be redeemed as a statement credit, rewards card, or a deposit to a checking or savings account at the financial institution associated with your Account. Complete terms and conditions for the Rewards Program, including rules regarding the redemption, expiration, loss or cancellation of Rebates, award thresholds, eligibility, participation, and our right to amend or terminate the Rewards Program, are set forth in our Rewards Program Rules (the "Program Rules") that you can access online in the Rewards Center.

The Account must be open and in good standing (not past due or overlimit) to be eligible to earn Rebates. You may not redeem Rebates, and subject to applicable law, you will immediately lose all of your Rebates, if your Account is closed to future transactions (including, but not limited to, Program misuse, failure to pay, bankruptcy, or death) and as set forth below. Generally, there is no maximum annual cash rebate, but we reserve the right to cap certain 2% Rebates and 5% Rebates, in addition to limits already described in the Program Rules. Rebates are not transferrable and have no cash value until you request and receive a Rebate. Rebates will expire if your Account is closed to future transactions or you do not have any reward, purchase or balance activity on your account for 12 statement cycles. 

The Account and these Rebates are provided for personal, family and household use. We reserve the right to disallow or remove Rebates awarded for Net Purchases made for other than personal, family or household use.

We reserve the right to change or cancel the Program at any time, with or without notice to you.

Redeeming Cash Rewards

Cash rewards can be redeemed as a deposit to a checking or savings account with this Financial Institution only, which will be deposited within one to two billing cycles, or as a statement credit to your credit card account within one to two billing cycles, or a Rewards Card. Cash back minimum redemption amounts and redemption values may vary and are subject to change without notice.

The complete range of rebate redemption options is available when Cardmembers call 888-229-8864 or visit the Rewards Center at myaccountaccess.com Elan Financial Services and/or third party vendors may change or terminate participating merchants, withdraw, limit, modify, or cancel any rewards, add an unlimited number of blackout dates, or increase the number of reward dollars required for a cash reward at any time without advance notice, even though such changes may affect the accrual or value of rewards. Reward redemption is subject to availability based upon Cardmember’s Account mailing address.

You may only redeem reward dollars for cash rewards if the outstanding balance of your Account is below its credit limit and if your Account is open and in good standing under the terms of your Cardmember Agreement. All cash reward redemptions are final. Cash rewards cannot be used as payment for obligations owed to Elan Financial Services or its affiliates. There are no refunds, exchanges, replacements or conversions for currency, credit, or rewards for unused portions or rewards, unless otherwise noted.

We reserve the right to verify and adjust rebates at any time before or after posting any redemption. Subject to applicable law, once you or we close an Account for any reason, all accumulated rebates are forfeited.

Rebates will expire if your Account is closed to future transactions or you do not have any reward, purchase or balance activity on your account for 12 statement cycles.

Charitable Contributions

From time to time you may have the opportunity on the Rewards Center to redeem Points earned in the Program toward a monetary contribution to a named charity. Your monetary charitable contribution will be matched at 100% (no cap). The named charity may vary. Point redemptions toward monetary charitable contributions may not be tax deductible. Please consult your tax advisor to determine if your redemption towards a charitable contribution is tax deductible.

Mastercard Branded Prepaid Rewards Cards

Rebates for Mastercard-branded rewards cards (“Rewards Cards”) are redeemed when a Rewards Card is requested by Cardmembers. At the time of the Rewards Card redemption, your rewards dollar balance will be reduced by the number of rewards dollars used to obtain the reward(s). Elan Financial Services will use its best reasonable efforts to issue a Rewards Card within 7-10 business days of your request. Rewards Cards lost in mail will be replaced at no cost to the Cardmember if correct address information is provided at the time of redemption. Once received, Rewards Cards can be replaced if lost or stolen if the Rewards Card number is available.

Rewards Cards are mailed only to the Cardmember’s billing address. Rewards Cards will be personalized with the Cardmember’s name and cannot be exchanged or refunded. Rewards Cards can be used at any merchant that accepts MasterCard debit cards.

Cash Rewards as a Statement Credit or Account Deposit

You can choose to redeem rebates for cash rewards in the form of a deposit as a statement credit to your Account or to a U.S. checking or savings account at the financial institution associated with your Account. Cash reward redemptions are deducted from the rebate balance when the cash reward redemption is requested by a Cardmember.

Statement credits are issued via a credit to your Account by accessing the Rewards Center at myaccountaccess.com. A credit will be applied to your Account within 1-2 statement billing cycles. Rebate dollars redeemed for a statement credit will reduce the account balance, but will not count toward your minimum payment due.

Account deposit redemptions may be issued via an electronic ACH deposit by accessing the Rewards Center at myaccountaccess.com. Account deposit redemptions must be deposited to an account at the financial institution associated with your Account. If the financial institution associated with your credit card is Elan Financial Services you may not make account deposit redemptions, but may still redeem rebate dollars for cash value as a statement credit. Account deposit redemptions may not be deposited to an international account. Redemptions to a checking or savings account will be applied within 7 business days of your redemption request.

You must enter an accurate routing number for the financial institution associated with your Account and an accurate account number for your cash reward redemption to be processed correctly. Routing numbers entered for a cash reward redemption are checked against the routing number directory maintained by the Federal Reserve. If you have entered your routing number correctly and it is not accepted by the Rewards Center, please contact your financial institution to verify the number. If your routing number still is not accepted, please call the Rewards Center at 888-229-8864. Elan Financial Services is not responsible for incorrectly entered banking information.

Real-Time Rewards

With Real-Time Rewards, you may instantly redeem Rebates for your credit card Purchases via text messaging. The Rebates redemption comes in the form of a credit to your monthly billing statement. Rebates will be deducted from your Rebates balance and a credit for the Purchase amount will be applied to your Account billing statement when you request redemption. For transactions which include a gratuity, fees, or estimated taxes, the statement credit may not equal your final Purchase amount. Auto bill pay transactions will be part of Real-Time Rewards text messages if the Purchase falls within your preference selections. Real-Time Rewards text messages are available only for transactions with U.S. merchants. You may sign up for Real-Time Rewards using your 10-digit U.S. mobile number. Only one mobile number may be used per credit card account. If any changes are made to your Account that will affect the card number, account ownership or your rewards program, you will need to re-enroll in Real-Time Rewards. Message and data rates may apply. The short code REDEEM (733336) is used by Real-Time Rewards to send redemption requests. Message frequency is based upon the preferences you select and the Purchases you make on your Account. Text ‘HELP’ to REDEEM (733336) for Help. Text ‘STOP’ to REDEEM (733336) to cancel your participation in Real-Time Rewards. All cancellations completed via text message will remove that mobile number from all accounts registered for Real-Time Rewards. You will not receive Real-Time Rewards text messages until you confirm your enrollment and preferences. You will receive a Real-Time Rewards request text message if your credit card Purchase falls within the criteria you have set up in your Real-Time Rewards preferences. Merchants who accept credit cards are assigned a merchant code based on the kinds of products and services they sell. Elan Financial Services does not control how Purchases are processed by merchants or the merchant codes they use and therefore cannot guarantee that a specific transaction will qualify. Your Account must remain in good standing in order to redeem. You may redeem by replying ‘REDEEM’ within 24 hours of when the message was sent. You may only redeem the most recent Real-Time Rewards text message. Upon confirmation of a redemption request, Rebates will be deducted from your Rebates balance immediately, and a credit to your statement will be processed within three business days and will appear on your next billing statement. The Account statement credit for a Real-Time Rewards redemption will reduce the Account balance but will not count toward the minimum payment due. All redemptions are final. If you return the item or service that you redeemed Rebates for to the merchant, the Rebates will not be reinstated, but you may receive a credit to your credit card account (in accordance with the merchant’s return policy).

Travel Rewards

You may purchase travel with your rewards card through the Rewards Travel Center and earn an additional 4% Cash Back above base earn for every $1 in eligible Net Purchases spent on prepaid hotel and car reservations. All travel reservations must be booked online through the Rewards Center at myaccountaccess.com or by phone at 888-229-8864. Travel reservations can be issued in any individual’s name, but travel must be purchased by an authorized Cardmember on the Account. Elan Financial Services and our third-party vendor(s) shall not be liable for any bodily and/or property damage that may result from your use of travel rewards, or the performance by the travel providers (e.g., airlines, hotels, etc.).

Your purchase for travel constitutes your agreement to the terms and conditions of our third-party vendor(s). If you book travel through the Rewards Center at myaccountaccess.com, please refer to additional terms and conditions provided in the online booking process.  If you book Air travel by phone, a $39 Travel Advisor Consultation fee will be charged per passenger, and please refer to additional terms and conditions provided on your travel itinerary. There will continue to be no additional booking fees for award tickets booked online.

Airlines may impose additional fees that are not included in your award ticket, including but not limited to fees for seating, luggage and changing your ticket.

Earn an additional 4% cash back when you use your rewards card to purchase hotel rooms and car rentals booked directly on the Travel Center website. In addition to your base earn for purchases using your rewards credit card, you will earn an additional four percent (4%) in cash back rewards for every $1 in eligible Net Purchases spent on prepaid car and hotel reservations made on the Travel Center website using your rewards credit card. Cash back rewards cannot be redeemed toward travel reservations in the Travel Center.

The additional 4% cash back will be deposited into your reward account after payment has been processed. Please allow 1-2 statement billing cycles for the additional 4% cash back to appear on your credit card statement. Purchased hotel and car transactions will appear on your credit card statement RTI*TravelCenter*.

The additional 4% cash back will appear on your cash rewards earning statement and in your cash rewards history in the Rewards Center as “4% BONUS: PURCHASE TRAVEL.”

If cancellation is permitted and you cancel a hotel or car rental reservation for which you have earned an additional 4% cash back, the additional 4% cash back will be reversed.

If cash rewards and cash are used for payment when there is more than one type of travel reservation in the cart, cash rewards will be split equally across the components of the reservation. The cash portion of the payment will be applied to any remaining balance(s). The additional 4% cash back will be calculated on the cash portion of the eligible hotel and car components.

Limitation of Liability

In addition to other disclaimers set forth in these Program Rules, third party vendors and Elan Financial Services make no guarantees, warranties or representations of any kind, expressed or implied, with respect to the goods or services offered by any participating merchant; and shall not be liable for any loss, expense, accident, injury or inconvenience that may arise in the connection with the use of such rewards, or as a result of any defect in or failure of such rewards. Third party vendors and Elan Financial Services specifically disclaim any defect in or failure of such rewards. Third party vendors and Elan Financial Services specifically disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Travel Rewards

You may purchase travel with your rewards card through the Rewards Travel Center and earn an additional 4% Cash Back above base earn for every $1 in eligible Net Purchases spent on prepaid hotel and car reservations.*  All travel reservations must be booked online through the Rewards Center at myaccountaccess.com or by phone at 888-229-8864. Travel reservations can be issued in any individual’s name, but travel must be purchased by an authorized Cardmember on the Account. Elan Financial Services and our third-party vendor(s) shall not be liable for any bodily and/or property damage that may result from your use of travel rewards, or the performance by the travel providers (e.g., airlines, hotels, etc.).

Your purchase for travel constitutes your agreement to the terms and conditions of our third-party vendor(s). If you book travel through the Rewards Center at myaccountaccess.com, please refer to additional terms and conditions provided in the online booking process.  If you book Air travel by phone, a $39 Travel Advisor Consultation fee will be charged per passenger, and please refer to additional terms and conditions provided on your travel itinerary. There will continue to be no additional booking fees for award tickets booked online.

Airlines may impose additional fees that are not included in your award ticket, including but not limited to fees for seating, luggage and changing your ticket.

*Earn an additional 4% cash back when you use your rewards card to purchase hotel rooms and car rentals booked directly on the Travel Center website. In addition to your base earn for purchases using your rewards credit card, you will earn an additional four percent (4%) in cash back rewards for every $1 in eligible Net Purchases spent on prepaid car and hotel reservations made on the Travel Center website using your rewards credit card. Cash back rewards cannot be redeemed toward travel reservations in the Travel Center.

The additional 4% cash back will be deposited into your reward account after payment has been processed. Please allow 1-2 statement billing cycles for the additional 4% cash back to appear on your credit card statement. Purchased hotel and car transactions will appear on your credit card statement as RTI*TravelCenter*.

The additional 4% cash back will appear on your cash rewards earning statement and in your cash rewards history in the Rewards Center as “4% BONUS: PURCHASE TRAVEL.”

If cancellation is permitted and you cancel a hotel or car rental reservation for which you have earned an additional 4% cash back, the additional 4% cash back will be reversed.

If cash rewards and cash are used for payment when there is more than one type of travel reservation in the cart, cash rewards will be split equally across the components of the reservation. The cash portion of the payment will be applied to any remaining balance(s). The additional 4% cash back will be calculated on the cash portion of the eligible hotel and car components.

Limitation of Liability

In addition to other disclaimers set forth in these Program Rules, third party vendors and Elan Financial Services make no guarantees, warranties or representations of any kind, expressed or implied, with respect to the goods or services offered by any participating merchant; and shall not be liable for any loss, expense, accident, injury or inconvenience that may arise in the connection with the use of such rewards, or as a result of any defect in or failure of such rewards. Third party vendors and Elan Financial Services specifically disclaim any defect in or failure of such rewards. Third party vendors and Elan Financial Services specifically disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
